Desteny Adams, FNP-C

Desteny Adams, FNP-C is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She moved to Portland, Oregon in 2024 from North Carolina where she trained as a Master’s prepared Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She completed a 1-year residency program integrating behavioral health into Primary Care with Carolina NP Residency. For the last few years, she practiced Primary Care at a Federally Qualified Health Center and at a Private Family Medicine Clinic. Prior to practicing as an FNP, Desteny also served her community as a Registered Nurse for 9 years at UNC Hospital within the Operating room, UNC Jaycee Burn Center ICU and UNC OB/GYN Outpatient clinic.

She joined Summit Research Network January 2024 to expand her experience as a Nurse Practitioner participating in clinical trials and drug development for a broad spectrum of internal medicine, neurological, rheumatic and psychiatric diseases.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, making pottery, hiking, practicing Yoga and exploring her new home of Portland Oregon!
